“Stay at the Queen Malesso. Make Yourself at Home”

Built as a 49 passenger glass-bottom transfer vessel for Cocos Island resort. Operated until sinking in 1976 during typhoon Pamela. Upon being raised to the surface, she was deemed uncertifiable for commercial operations. She was bought and taken into Sumay Cove. She was converted into a 2- bedroom houseboat. 
Sold to the present owner in 2004, she was moved to Harbor of refuge where she stayed until being relocated back to Merizo in 2011 after being gone for 35 years. (The Flying Houseboat on YouTube)

If you're looking for an escape from the troubles of reality, this is the perfect place for you. The location is in a quiet and peaceful village that provided the most spectacular view on the island. Breathe taking scenery that will chase your troubles away. The adorable and stylish boat house was so comfortable and cozy, was quite an adventure simply exploring it once we got there. Host and owner of the boathouse is amazingly friendly and super accomodating which made our stay feel even more special than ever. Whether you want an adventure by kayaking and swimming or simply wish to unwind from everyday stress, this place is perfect. Lol. I know I sound like Im advertising the place, but honest, it simply was just such an amazing experience that my family and I enjoyed. Plus they allow pets! Which not many locations allow. Now, operating as a short-term staycation lagoon-front home in downtown Merizo she has available packages starting at $425 nightly (3-night minimums, up to 4 guests no additional charge). On-site camping areas, group getaways, Yoga retreats, weddings, etc. are negotiable.

Kayak usage, anchoring your boat or jets skis in front of property available at no additional cost, and enjoy the protected lagoon all day long. Or, just put up a chair and sit shaded creekside and read a book. The QM has it all!
